Julio Guzman is a Guatemalan/American analog photographer and cinematographer born and raised in Little Havana. From an early age, he began photographing friends and family on a hand-me-down film camera from his grandfather. Over the years he has developed a distinct analog, chiaroscuro style, leading him to to work in partnership with Adidas, Louis Vuitton, Rolling Loud, as well as other major artists. With his practice, Julio provides his subjects with a window of self expression through collaborative portraiture, with a focus on themes of intimacy and vulnerability. Julio plans to create images that contribute social commentary on the Miami culture and community he calls home.
